Function: Using immunohistochemistry, El-Husseini et al. (2000) showed that rat RNF22 and ACTN4 are expressed in a punctate pattern throughout the cytoplasm and neuritic processes of differentiated PC12 cells. They concluded that the isoform of ACTN4 they identified may act to anchor microfilaments to various cellular structures.
